I’m Matthew, founder of Matthew Moore Consulting.
I’m an independent PR consultant and copywriter based in Durham, North East England and a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (MCIPR).
I have over 20 years’ experience working in journalism, PR and communications for national magazines and newspapers, across agencies, the public and private sector and in-house at destination marketing organisations.
I am a multi-award winning PR Consultant and was voted CIPR North East ‘Independent PR Practitioner of the Year’ (2022), receiving two CIPR Gold PRide awards for my work with Turtle Bay Restaurants.
I’m passionate about driving participation in and engagement with sports, culture, education, the arts, travel and tourism. I’ve been fortunate to deliver commercial activations and social impact campaigns for organisations partnered with Ryder Cup Europe for the 2014, 16 and 18 matches and the London 2012 Olympics.
I was a key member of the Communications Steering Group for Durham’s bid to become the UK City of Culture in 2013 and part of the multi-award winning team that delivered the BBC’s Switchover Help Scheme – raising national awareness of the switch from analogue to digital TV.
As a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) I’m accountable to a Code of Conduct and committed to maintaining the highest professional standards and investing in my professional development.
